Bring your own Booze parties
How often you are invited to parties where you have to bring your own booze. Personally I wouldn’t visit some ones place without bring them a bottle of something, but I find the idea of having entire parties financed by the guests a bit strange. I know it is a common practice and in most places expected, but I still have a problem with it.
I believe that if you want to have a party at your place you should be prepared to cater to your guests, provide drinks and food as necessary. If people want to bring something it should be entirely up to them but not forced. Especially after you have finished university and are holding a job.
I have been to parties where people guarding their bottles of alcohol like they are the Holy Grail. God forbid you happen to drink one of their beers.
Then again I have been to parties where the host demanded that you didn’t bring anything at all, as an attempt to control the quality of the wine.
Party anyone? You can come over bring your food, drink and you can clean after yourself afterwards... what do you say?
